Brockwell Energy is pleased to confirm that the Earls Gate Energy Centre project has resumed full construction activities following Board and lender approval of a comprehensive Rectification Plan. This plan paves the way for the project’s successful completion and transition into commercial operation in late 2023.
Following the liquidation of the incumbent contractors, Brockwell took decisive action, assuming the role of Principal Contractor under an EPCM model. This responsibility includes oversight of construction, safety, quality, programme, budget, and commissioning.
Neil Young, COO of Brockwell Energy, commented,
Through close collaboration with our joint venture partner Encyclis, we determined that Brockwell Energy Services Ltd (BESL) were best positioned to recover the project. With a strengthened team and clear determination, we are confident in our ability to deliver a best-in-class asset for EGECL and its stakeholders.
Despite macroeconomic challenges, Brockwell’s proactive management is driving the project towards a successful operating phase.
