Job Title: Administrative Officer
Reporting to: BEL Corporate Services Manager (Functionally)
Business: Brockwell Energy Ltd
Location: London - By Bond Street Tube Station

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our team as an Administrative Officer. As the first point of contact for our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing essential administrative support to our team members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the success of our growing company.

This role will be part time office-based role for 3 days a week, with the core in office working days being Tuesday and Wednesday and flexibility between Monday and Thursday as the additional in office day.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact liaising with Head Office in Edinburgh for internal and external communications, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
  • Office Management: Maintain office supplies, equipment, and facilities, ensuring that the office environment is organised and conducive to productivity.
  • Document Management: Assist with the creation, editing, and formatting of documents, presentations, and reports as needed.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute meeting materials as required.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records and databases, including contact lists, project files, and other relevant information.
  • Event Support: Provide logistical support for company events, workshops, and conferences, including venue booking, catering arrangements, and attendee management.
  • Assist Team Members: Support team members with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to pitch in where necessary.
  • Human Resources Support: Support the team with administrative human resources tasks.
Key Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous Experience: Proven experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within the renewable energy or related industry.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanour.
  • IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications. SharePoint knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues and finding solutions.
  • Team Player: A collaborative and adaptable team player with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to taking on new tasks and responsibilities.
